Planning Christmas Every Year?
Reserve the Barnyard as Part of Your Annual Event Calendar
If your city, HOA, country club, school, church, or company hosts multiple events throughout the year, your Christmas event doesn't have to be a separate planning process.
Ask about multi-event Barnyard partnerships that can include spring, summer, fall, and Christmas experiences.
Recurring clients may also have opportunities to plan preferred dates earlier in the booking cycle.
ASK ABOUT AN ANNUAL PARTNERSHIP
Christmas Dates Are Limited
Holiday events tend to happen on the same handful of weekends.
Which means December availability can disappear quickly.
Our ability to accept Christmas events is also determined by animal schedules, transportation, staffing, weather, and appropriate rest—not simply whether there's an empty spot on the calendar.
If you're considering a Christmas Barnyard experience, we recommend reaching out as early as possible.
Cold Weather & Animal Welfare
Christmas sweaters are cute.
Freezing livestock isn't.
Animal welfare remains our first priority throughout the holiday season.
Every event is evaluated based on temperature, precipitation, wind, transportation conditions, event duration, setup, animal temperament, and appropriate rest.
Certain temperatures or weather conditions may require an indoor or protected setup, modification of the experience, rescheduling, or cancellation according to applicable booking policies.
We'll communicate applicable requirements with you before your event.
Christmas Animal Experience FAQ
Are the Highlands actually reindeer?
We feel like the horns make a pretty convincing argument.
But no.
They're Highland cattle dressed and presented as our Barnyard Christmas “reinsteer” experience.
Can guests take pictures with the Highland?
Absolutely.
Photography is one of the biggest parts of our Christmas Highland experience.
Guest interaction is supervised by a Barnyard handler.
Do you offer full Christmas petting zoos?
Yes.
Mobile petting zoos are available for select Christmas and holiday events depending on date, weather, location, and animal availability.
Can you come to our company Christmas party?
Yes.
We work with companies, cities, HOAs, country clubs, schools, churches, and private events throughout North Texas.
Can photographers book the animals for Christmas mini sessions?
Select photography events may be available.
If you're planning multiple mini sessions, include the session schedule and location with your inquiry.
Can we combine the Highland with the petting zoo?
Yes, depending on availability and event conditions.
For larger holiday events, combining experiences can create a more substantial attraction.
Can you set up indoors?
Select experiences may be possible indoors depending on building access, available space, flooring, animal selection, and venue approval.
Tell us about your space when submitting your inquiry.
What happens if it's too cold?
Animal welfare comes first.
Weather requirements depend on the specific animals and event conditions. Certain weather conditions may require a protected or indoor setup, changes to the experience, rescheduling, or other action according to the applicable booking agreement.
How much does a Christmas animal experience cost?
Christmas events are quoted based on your date, location, event type, expected attendance, duration, experience, staffing requirements, and travel.
Submit your event details and we'll recommend available options.
When should we book Christmas?
Earlier than you think.
Popular November and December weekends can fill quickly, particularly for community events and Saturdays.
Cities, HOAs, country clubs, schools, churches, and corporate planners are encouraged to begin planning well before the holiday season.
