Meet the Family Behind The Barnyard
The Barnyard at 2R Ranch is a family-owned mobile animal experience company based near Denison, Texas and serving communities throughout North Texas.
What started with a love for animals has grown into something much bigger: a way for our family to bring the animals we love directly to other families, schools, weddings and communities.
We're Chris & Rylee
We're the husband-and-wife team behind The Barnyard at 2R Ranch.
Our life revolves around our family, our animals and probably more projects than we should have going at one time. We're raising our two kids, Kinsley and Cooper, alongside a barnyard full of animals and building a business that lets us share a piece of that life with other people.
The Barnyard isn't a traditional petting zoo or a place you come visit.
We bring the experience to you.
Our animals travel throughout North Texas for birthday parties, schools and daycares, weddings, festivals, HOA events, corporate celebrations and community events.
More Than a Petting Zoo
Petting zoos are a big part of what we do, but The Barnyard has grown into much more than that.
Today, our experiences range from hands-on mobile petting zoos to Highland cow visits, wedding animals, Beer Burros, Beer Ponies, The Highland Pour™ and some of the more unusual ideas we've dreamed up along the way.
If it involves animals and creating an experience people will remember, there's a pretty good chance we're interested.
Meet the Animals
Our barnyard is home to a constantly growing crew of animals with plenty of personality.
You'll find goats and sheep, mini pigs, chickens and ducks, rabbits, miniature donkeys, ponies, horses, Highland cattle and more.
Some are sweet. Some are mischievous. Some are convinced every event is entirely about them.
And honestly, that's part of what makes this so much fun.
Why We Do It
There's something different about seeing a child meet a farm animal for the first time, watching wedding guests light up when a Highland cow walks into cocktail hour, or seeing an entire crowd gather around animals they weren't expecting to find at an event.
Those moments are why we keep doing this.
We want our experiences to feel personal, interactive and genuinely memorable rather than like another piece of event entertainment.
Bringing the Barnyard Across North Texas
We're based near Denison and travel throughout North Texas, regularly serving Sherman, McKinney, Frisco, Prosper, Celina, Anna, Melissa, Gainesville, Van Alstyne and surrounding communities.
Whether we're setting up a small backyard birthday party or bringing animals to a large festival, we're still the same family-owned business behind every event.
And there's a good chance you'll meet one of us when The Barnyard pulls up.
